Two Photographers = Team Coverage
Our packages (with the exception of the Elements Program) include both Josef & Lisa Willis. As a practical matter it’s impossible for a single photographer to provide comprehensive coverage of a large wedding especially if the participants have different schedules prior to the ceremony. Moreover the necessity of tending to the technical requirements of photography often conflicts with photo opportunities and having two photographers mitigates that distraction.
Lisa and I are a team and although we share the same philosophy, our individual sensitivities often gives us two “looks” at an activity. For example Lisa might photograph the overall ambiance of the ceremony while I provide images of the brides face when the groom says “I do.”
Another frequent example is when one of us takes time to photograph the details that have been months in planning but are often missed by the couple during the frenzy of the celebration. Often the photographs are the only tangible reminder of those details at the end of the day.
More significantly, we want to be the consummate observers of your ceremony. We don’t want to intrude or to artificially hurry activities for our convenience. Your day should be a celebration of your union and a opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of your dearest friends and family. We believe the photography should document these natural relaxed moments. Working together, we are less intrusive than a single photographer because we’re not constantly scurrying between the bride and groom trying to prompt photo opportunities.
Our “team coverage” allows us to wait for the telling situations to occur naturally and provides for coverage of the groom’s activities as well as the bride’s. We believe that the excitement of the bride slipping on her gown is equal to that of the groom dressing in the clubhouse with his friends. With one photographer, the opportunity to capture natural moments is significantly compromised.
We live and breathe weddings. We’re also dedicated to producing meaningful images and have a history of producing outstanding work.
Time & Coverage
Great artists never limited the amount of time they spent on their masterpieces so we don’t limit the time spent on yours.
We’re committed to capturing and preserving all the splendor of your celebration Therefore we must limit the number of wedding commissions each year.
The Photographs are furnished on a USB Flash drive in a wooden box with a selection of sample prints. The files are high resolution and we’ve made basic adjustment for color and exposure.
Prints and albums that are ordered from our studio receive additional enhancements to make those treasured images worthy of your wall or coffee table.
Additionally photographs are posted on our website. It’s a great way to let family and friends from across the country view the celebration. And, as a convenience, loose prints may be ordered directly through the site. This frees the bride from having to coordinate the invariable photo requests from family & friends.
Travel within North Texas is included in our fees. Nominal charges apply to travel to other locations.
Destination wedding are a specialty as Lisa and I have extensive travel experience in the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Please give us a call specifying your date and destination and we’ll research the travel options and give you a quotation.
We use the finest digital cameras available. This equipment fits our documentary style and we continuously upgrade our gear to insure exceptional results. Additionally, we maintain a copious amount of backup equipment for redundancy in the event of a malfunction.
Booking & Payments
A retainer of $1000 is due to reserve a date. It is fully applied to the program selected. The retainer is fully refundable if you cancel more than 180 days from the wedding date. The retainer is forfeited if a cancellation is received less than 180 days from the ceremony’s date.
Typically, we have several brides requesting the more popular dates. If a cancellation is necessary, please advise us soon as possible to allow another couple to avail themselves of our commitment to outstanding photography.
An invoice for the photography and travel (if appropriate) is provided and full payment is due 30 days prior to the wedding.
Payment for loose prints and extra albums or pages is due when the order is placed.
Visa, MasterCard & American Express cards are welcome.
